Elshadai Children's Village

The Elshadai Wukro Children’s Village was founded in 1989 to provide a safe, nurturing home with access to education and healthcare for 160 children who have been orphaned by civial war, famine and HIV/AIDs. It is partly self-sufficient from its 11 hectare farm and provides on-site schooling from 5 to 11 years.

SHARE has worked with the Elshadai Wukro Children’s Village since 2010, specifically providing support in the areas of:

  • Essential dental healthcare and supplies

  • The donation of clothing, including school uniforms

  • The donation of educational materials and classroom supplies

  • General healthcare education

  • The provision of toys, games and celebration ceremonies

SHARE’s mission is to assist the village in achieving its ultimate goal of self-sufficiency and securing a bright future for the children.
